In December 2011 we received an early Christmas present when we learned that we were pregnant. After two very long years of trying, we were ecstatic and August 15th could not come fast enough. On the morning of March 14, 2012 we found out that our little Kaempfer (German for "fighter") was a boy and we were eager to meet Henry's little brother.
And apparently, Henry's little brother was just as eager to meet us.
At 5:12 p.m. on May 24th, 2012 little Edward Henry made his debut in a big way. Arriving twelve weeks earlier than expected, Eddie was born in a frenzy and spent two months in the NICU. He had a remarkable and blessedly uneventful journey in the hospital and we brought him home on July 24th.
